Warning on fake chocolate covered strawberries

Cheap Chocolate Strawberries? Not really: They don't use chocolate & it's never that price when you are done.
Their customers are saying those companies have racked up HUNDREDS in unauthorized credit card charges.

Do a google seach on "Easy Saver Scam" and see what their customers say.

Shout it from the rooftop
Tell a friend, tell your local DA, why has this scam been allowed to continue?
Why have the credit card companies allowed them to continue?

Short version:
How to avoid the most common scams in the chocolate strawberry industry.

  • Avoid sites with Free Shipping offers
  • Avoid sites that use the word swizzle
  • Avoid sites that offer Free Magazines
  • Question sites without online ingredients lists
  • Avoid sites with flavored instead of "cocoa butter" in an ingredients list
  • Question when they only describe part of the product (list dark chocolate only)

 Long Version:

THEM

Were sorry to hear that a group of companies are running ads for cheap chocolate covered strawberries, it's not true: they dont actually use chocolate

Weve also seen them run other ads in this context,  the actual text and dollar amount of the ads will change from time to time.

Thats like advertising steak and delivering tainted tacos.

They dip thier strawberries using a substance without cocoa butter: its not allowed to be labeled as Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate or Dark Chocolate.

Chances are that if you ran a search for the term chocolate covered strawberries you saw three or more of the mega-conglomerates ads. (Different company names but all owned by the same parent company.)

What you should expect  from them: (NOT US)

  • Fake vegetable oil dip instead of cocoa butter based milk, white or dark chocolate.
  • Questionable ethics as exampled by the "Free Shipping Offer" that resulted in the "easy saver scam" (read their customers Class action lawsuit information )
  • Spammy signups for Free magazines & and other pay to renew/use subscription offers.
  • Extra fees for Care & Handling at checkout.

We could list more... but what more do you need? Their product is not chocolate and that price is not really cheap: it could could cost you hundreds.

CCBerries

See all the Chocolate Covered strawberries we deliver nationwide

  • We use true gourmet chocolate, yes true Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate and Dark Chocolate, just as you would expect from a gourmet gift.
  • Never share your credit card number with anyone
  • We don't try to sell you subscriptions for magazines

We use real chocolate, and will never given customers credit card information to a third party...

We are a tiny company and just cant afford a national ad campaign to expose every anti-competitive and deceptive practice or ad weve seen from this group of ethically challenged companies.

You can help stamp out Fake Chocolate and other deceptive practices in the gift industry by telling your friends about this page. (and if you could place a really big order or two with us that would be great).

We list some of the companies using fake chocolate here.

So why does a company that is so big need to do this?
Who are they?

Who owns and controls the companies not using chocolate
