How do you ship chocolate covered strawberries nationwide ? First: we always use gel packs to keep the product cool and protected all year round, some competitors don't, you never know when a package will be left on a heater vent or routed through a warm southern city. During the warm summer months we use larger gel packs. Second: Our specially designed gift packaging hold the chilled berries secure inside a sealed insulated container. Third: We always ship using overnight service so that the package has the highest possible chance of arriving in perfect condition. We've seen some competitors trying to go the cheaper route, using 2nd day service: they don't last long since the gel packs generally will not last 2 days.
	Why do you use real gourmet chocolate when most of your competitors don't? Real chocolate just tastes better. We don't want to sell a second class product even if it costs us more for the ingredients. Real chocolate is cocoa butter based, and anything that is vegetable oil based (palm kernel and partially hydrogenated palm oils...) can't legally be called chocolate. Why do your berries get dipped all the way to the leaves? It protects them better in transit. It's pretty simple, the chocolate shell acts as a shield to protect the strawberry. Think of it this way: which is harder: Chilled chocolate or a chilled strawberry? Obviously the chilled chocolate is harder and better suited to protect the fragile strawberry inside.
	Are your strawberry/apples/pears kosher? No. We actually spent great deal of time looking into it. One group wanted us to pull the stems, others wanted to control which days of the week we were opened. The requirements varied greatly by group. We also found that some companies that were getting certified were not meeting the FDA regulations for what can legally be called 'chocolate'.
